Meet America’s WORST deadbeat dad!
Howard Veal has fathered an astonishing 23 children by 14 different women and owes a staggering $533,000 in child support, say authorities.
“You are the poster child for irresponsibility,” Judge Dennis B. Leiber told 44-year-old Veal when he appeared in Kent County Circuit Court in Grand Rapids, Mich., for sentencing on Sept. 23.
“You’re an insult to every responsible father who sacrifices to provide for their children. Animals procreate. Human beings are supposed to nurture their children,” the judge added.
Judge Leiber was so outraged that he far exceeded the state guidelines for jailing deadbeat dads when he packed Veal off to prison for two to four years. The guidelines call for no more than six months in jail.
“I was stunned and amazed when I got this case,” Judge Leiber told The ENQUIRER. “I have been a judge for 22 years, and in my entire career I have never seen a case like this, where so much was owed to so many and ignored. He certainly deserves to be called America’s worst deadbeat dad.”
