VICTIM FOILS BURGLARY -- BY STEALING GETAWAY CAR

"For once, the good guys won!”
That’s what Patrick Rosario said after he outwitted a pair of burglars — by driving off in their getaway van while they ransacked his home!
“I’m no hero,” Patrick told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview. “But I wanted to get out of there, and it just made sense to me.”
The bungling burglars struck in broad daylight as 32-year-old Patrick — recently laid off from Washington Mutual bank — was working on a project in his basement in Bellevue, Wash., on Feb. 12.
Luckily, his wife was at work and his 2-year-old son in day care when he heard what he thought was a knock at the front door, followed by a loud noise.
“I thought, there’s something going on up there, so I walked quietly up the stairs — and saw two pairs of sneakers and jeans through the opening under the living room door,” Patrick said.
“Then I heard electric cords slapping against the wooden floor, and I realized they were unplugging my flat-screen TV!”
Patrick raced back downstairs, grabbed a hammer for protection, and ran out the back door to dial 911.
“They could have had guns for all I knew. I just wanted to get away. I didn’t want to confront them,” he said.
