THROWN TO HER DEATH

description

Less than two weeks after a whirlwind Las Vegas wedding, Julie Rosas realized she’d made a horrible mistake.

Her new husband, Brandon Manai, was verbally abusive and cruel – and Julie knew she had to make a clean break. But she made the deadly mistake of telling Brandon she was leaving him.

Just 13 days after exchanging vows, Brandon drove his new bride to an isolated spot on the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and threw her from a 200-foot cliff to her death.

“This is one of the most horrific crimes I’ve ever prosecuted,” Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Jodi Link told The ENQUIRER.

Unbelievably, at the time of Julie’s brutal murder, 28-year-old Brandon was on parole for almost killing another woman who had rejected him.

“He’s a monster,” said Link.

Brandon and Julie, a 24-year-old administrator at a gym, had known each other for just a few months when they got married in Vegas on June 19, 2005. But Julie quickly realized her mistake.

“She wanted out because he was so verbally abusive to her,” said Link. “Then she told him she wanted out – and his response to that was to kill her.”

Link said that in the early morning hours of July 3, 2005, Brandon drove Julie to the seaside cliff.

“We know that she was alive when he threw her off the cliff,” said Link. Julie, who stood just 4-foot-8 and weighed 120 pounds, put up a tremendous struggle before Brandon, who is 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, finally overpowered her – and hurled her to her death.

He was left with scratch marks on his arms and back. His DNA was found under her fingernails.
