SMITH INQUEST YIELDS MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS

The inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's beloved son Daniel has failed to solve the tragic mystery surrounding his passing. In some instances, it only raised more questions about what really happened. Anna Nicole's and Daniel's drug use is one area that remains murky to this day.

Key witnesses Larry Birkhead — father of Anna Nicole's baby Dannielynn — and her lawyer and lover Howard K. Stern contradicted each other about Daniel's and Anna Nicole's drug use.

Birkhead told the inquest jury that Daniel was once caught on a home surveillance tape stealing a bottle of his mother's methadone. But Stern, who was the final witness, testified he never suspected Daniel took drugs.

"It all adds up to even more of a puzzle than it was before Anna Nicole died," a source close to the case told The ENQUIRER.
