'SHARK' BITES IDENTITY THIEF

"Shark" star James Woods took a bite out of crime recently after he found himself the victim of identity theft.
In an exclusive interview with The ENQUIRER, the 61-year-old actor says he took the law into his own hands in mid-August when he learned that a waiter at a Beverly Hills restaurant had stolen his credit card number and charged thousands of dollars worth of concert tickets and computer equipment.
“He stole my identity, so I figured it was only fair to turn him over to the police,” said James.
The actor, who played Los Angeles prosecutor Sebastian Stark on the recently canceled CBS drama, went into vigilante mode after his credit card company called to report “suspicious activity” on his account.
James was shocked to learn that someone had purchased two VIP tickets to a Dave Matthews Band concert at Staples Center in L.A. for a whopping $3,700, along with an Apple Macintosh computer.
“I told them the charges were fraudulent and they deducted them from my bill,” he explained. But the Emmy-winning actor didn’t stop there – he was determined to find the culprit.
He called the Staples Center box office and said he hadn’t received his tickets yet – and that he wanted to verify they had the correct name and address.
“I found out that this moron who charged the tickets on my credit card had actually used his real name, phone number and address to have these concert tickets sent to him!
“The box office even gave me the seat number of his tickets!”
When James got his credit card bill, he noticed he’d eaten at a restaurant just a block away from where the thief lived. James called the restaurant and eventually tracked down the culprit.
“I called the Beverly Hills Police Department and, when they came out to where I live, I handed them the guy’s name and a map to his house,” added James.
“They were so impressed with my police work that they asked if I wanted to handcuff him, too, when they made the arrest!”
