DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRUSADER GUNS DOWN HUBBY OF FIVE DAYS

description

It was Arelisha Bridges’ job to persuade politicians to fight domestic violence. But the lobbyist did not practice what she preached.

After getting married in April, Bridges’ honeymoon ended after only five days when she went into a rage, shooting and killing her new husband, say authorities!

The 45-year-old bride was arguing with her 26-year-old spouse Anthony Rankins moments before she gunned him down in full view of horrified witnesses on an Atlanta sidewalk, charge authorities.

A group of carhops at the Varsity drive-in restaurant saw Arelisha get out of her SUV at 10:45 p.m. on March 1 – wearing just a nightgown and shower cap – as Rankins was walking along the sidewalk, according to Detective Michael Willis.

They saw her pull a revolver out of her pocket and follow her husband. “He just kept walking away, and she kept following,” said Willis.

Then she shot her new husband five times in the head and chest, according to the detective.
