The death of a newborn child at Oprah Winfrey’s school for girls in South Africa may be the final nail in the coffin for the media mogul’s dream.
The elite boarding school, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, near Johannesburg, has been rocked by a string of scandals since its 2007 opening.
But the latest outrage could lead to a 17-year-old student being charged with murder.
“This is the most horrendous thing that’s happened at the school! Parents are scared and wondering if it will be shut,” said a Johannesburg source familiar with the situation.
