 WW2 'WAR'

Filmmaker Spike Lee 'attacked' Clint Eastwood for his WWII films Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima!

"He did two films about Iwo Jima and there was not one black soldier in both of those films," charged Lee at the Cannes Film Festival.

Of course, Lee has his own World War II film coming out in October - Miracle at St. Anna about a all-black division battling in Italy.

The Ex-Dirty Harry did not respond to Lee's PR-fueled charges

Eastwood was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the  Cannes Film Festival jury.  His latest, Changeling starring Angelina Jolie, was in competition for The Palme d' Or.

Happy Memorial Day,
guys.
