N icole Brown Simpson didn’t have to die!

In a bombshell world exclusive, The National ENQUIRER has uncovered a shocking letter about the abuse heaped on her by hulking ex-hubby O.J. Simpson.

The letter to a close pal was exposed in court after the murders. But a top expert says that if authorities had acted sooner, Nicole’s tragic life story could have had a different ending.

“After Nicole’s cry for help, authorities could have done more to protect her,” Dr. Judy Kuriansky, a New York–based psychologist who has experience dealing with women trapped in abusive situations, told The ENQUIRER.

But releasing the letter’s shocking details would have been “a terrible responsibility for friends to take,” Dr. Kuriansky added.

“Had very proactive measures been taken, we can only dream that there would have been an outcome other than the one that occurred.”

Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 murders, but was later found guilty in civil court.

As the world now knows, Simpson was acquitted of Nicole and Ron Goldman’s 1994 murders in the “Trial of the Century.” He was later found guilty of their deaths in civil court. In the letter obtained by The ENQUIRER, Nicole poured her heart out to close pal Cora Fishman after her 1992 divorce from Simpson.

“I’m really conflicted,” Nicole wrote, “sometimes I want in – sometimes I want out – you know what I’ve been going through.
Agony.”

Nicole admits that sex kept them together, but confessed O.J. got “too rough,” leaving her “black and blue for days.”

After Nicole’s death, it emerged that the abuse was far worse.

In her personal diary, Nicole revealed heart-wrenching details of the physical, emotional and sexual abuse that turned her love for Simpson into hatred.

Added Dr. Kuriansky: “Women in such a relationship are constantly in this dual push/pull. They have a hard time detaching themselves, and often fall back into ‘I love him,’ when they should not.”
