Washington cops make chilling arrest in near chainsaw massacre of hubby by wife!

The victim, 36, was sleeping when he awoke suddenly to find his wife holding the electric power tool on the bed next to his neck, police charged.

The unnamed wife, 43, told police she was holding the Sawzall power tool because an intruder had escaped out of her daughter's window.

"There was no evidence there was an intruder," Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz told media.

 Police say they heard the husband screaming at his wife when they first reposnded, they charged.
"It was you, it WAS you! You tried to cut my head off. You're going to jail," police said they heard the husband charge in an official affidavit.

He also told police he had been cut with a hatchet.

There was smeared blood on the woman's clothes, blood was splattered on the carpet and walls inside the family home. Police also found the power saw on  the bedroom floor, the Daily Herald reported.
Police found a hatchet found in kitchen was wet and appeared to have been freshly washed, court records revealked.

The alleged power saw wielding wife was arrested on charges of first-degree domestic violence assault. The judge set bail at $250,000.
