All hell breaks loose as JEFF GORDON, CLINT BOWYER and their NASCAR pit crews EXPLODE in a bare knuckle racetrack brawl!
The incident occurred at Sunday's Advocare 500 after Bowyer made contact with Gordon's car as the two battled it out for fifth place on Lap 305
Bowyer slashed Gordon's tire and sent him into slamming into a wall.
Seemingly OK after re-entering the race, Gordon used his car to return the favor, giving Bower what fans like to call “The Full Messalla” named for the vicious charioteer in “Ben-Hur”, as a multi-car pileup ensued
Once Gordon and Bowyer returned to the garage, simmering tension between the drivers and the crews boiled over into a fists- flailing slugfest of rage.
"Clint has run into me numerous times, wrecked me, and he got into me on the back straightaway and pretty much ruined our day," Gordon told press. "I've had it, fed up with it, and I got him back."
Bowyer didn't rule out retaliation against Gordon in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
"We'll just have to see," he said.
