DEMI MOORE after some hard partying is playing her newest hand close to the vest.
The cougarlicious one is still single, but Demi's played matchmaker for actor pal Val Kilmer!
The troubled “Ghost” star hooked up the former “Top Gun” hunk with one of her BFFs – wealthy Hollywood divorcee Jacqui Getty, say sources.
According to an insider, sparks flew when Demi introduced Val to Jacqui, a 46-year-old stylist and costume designer, at a party in April.
“Within minutes, Demi half-joked that Jacqui and Val would end up living happily ever after,” the insider told The ENQUIRER. “And they’ve been inseparable ever since!”
Val, 53, and Jacqui were photographed snuggling at an art reception in mid-May, and on Dec. 7, they were spotted smooching at a screening of the movie “Silver Linings Playbook” in Hollywood.
“Their romance is moving so fast it’s only a matter of time before they announce their engagement,” predicted the source.
Kilmer – who has two children, Mercedes, 21, and Jack, 17, with his actress ex-wife Joanne Whalley – scored hits in “The Doors” and “Batman Forever.”
But as his career sputtered, he ran into financial problems, owing the IRS nearly $500,000 in back taxes in 2010. He sold his beloved ranch in New Mexico last year and now spends most of his time in L.A.
“Val is looking for a stable relationship so he can settle down and get his finances in order, and Jacqui has proved to be the ticket,” said the source.
The L.A. socialite gets a whopping $83,000 a month in alimony from her ex Peter Getty, a grandson of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty.
Meanwhile, 50-year-old Demi has endured tough times since splitting from cheating hubby Ashton Kutcher in 2011. She’s done a stint in rehab and dabbled in ill-fated romances with much younger men, most recently with 26-year-old art dealer Vito Schnabel.
“Demi needs to date someone in her age group,” added the source. “She could probably find herself a good man if she’d just settle down and stop acting like a 20-something club girl.”
