Justin Theroux wants one big, happy family to witness his marriage to Jennifer Aniston – and he’s begging Jen to welcome her mom into their lives!
Justin, 43, has yet to meet Jen’s ailing mother, Nancy Dow, even though they’ve been engaged since August 2012, revealed a source. “Justin’s trying to convince Jen it’s good for her soul to make Nancy part of their lives and a part of their upcoming wedding,” the source revealed.
“Nancy is 78 now and in very poor health. Justin doesn’t want Jen filled with regret if something happens to her.” The “Friends” beauty, 45, began icing her mother out in 1996 after Nancy talked about her famous daughter in a TV interview.
When Nancy released a book in 1999 with intimate details about Jen’s life, the actress severed all ties and failed to invite her mother when she wed Brad Pitt in July 2000. While Jen made a tenuous peace with her mom in 2005, the two are far from close – even though their California homes are just 10 miles apart. “Jen calls her once a month at best and hardly sees her,” the source said, adding that despite the discord, Jen continues to help Nancy financially.
“The closest Justin has come to meeting her was when he waited outside while Jen visited Nancy in the hospital after she had a stroke – and that was three years ago.”
“Justin is begging Jen to really, truly bury the hatchet. He doesn’t want to meet Nancy for the first time on their wedding day. That just seems awkward and weird to him.”
