Following Bobby Brown’s latest drug bust, Whitney Houston’s family is begging her to move from Atlanta back to New Jersey and dump him for good.
“Whitney’s been doing everything in her power to clean up her own drug habit and her reputation, especially with her new album ‘Just Whitney’ making its debut,” a close friend told The ENQUIRER.
“Her whole family is on her case to get rid of Bobby, to move away from the influence of Bobby’s friends and relatives in Atlanta.
“Bobby views Whitney as a fountain of wealth he can drink from the rest of his life, but she’s finally getting fed up with all the arrests and the disgrace he causes.”
Bobby’s latest run-in with the law came on November 7 when Atlanta police officer K.C. Watson pulled over a black Cadillac Escalade SUV for speeding.
The cop learned that Bobby had an outstanding warrant, slapped handcuffs on him and placed him under arrest.
Bobby was charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, speeding and driving without a license or proof of insurance.
He posted $1,300 bond, but was transferred to neighboring DeKalb County, where there was an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on several six-year-old traffic charges. He was finally freed on $10,000 bond.
“Now not only is Whitney’s family demanding she dump Bobby, but Arista Records, her recording company, wants Bobby off the scene,” the friend added.
“Her father John Houston detests Bobby so badly, he’s even hinted to Whitney that if she’ll get him out of her life, he’ll drop his part of the $100 million lawsuit he and a partner brought against her and Bobby over money he claims he is owed.
“John said, ‘Bobby Brown is a loser who can’t stay out of trouble. She has to be rid of him!’ “
