It’s official – Whitney Houston was bisexual – and had a love affair with her longtime personal assistant!
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Robyn Crawford’s father Dennis Crawford came clean about the lesbian love affair that was kept from public view for almost four decades!
“I knew 40 years ago, we all knew,” said Crawford. “When she told me, there was nothing I could do about it except love her.”
The elder Crawford recalled seeing the two women holding hands and kissing, and claims family members weren’t the only ones in Houston’s inner circle to know about it!
Cissy Houston, Whitney’s Mother, continues to publicly deny her that her daughter was ever involved with another woman, though Crawford confirms that she had knowledge of the romance.
“She knew about the relationship with my daughter 25 years ago. Why she would deny it, you have to ask her,” said Dennis.
In fact – he says the late singer’s famous cousin, Dionne Warwick, was also privy to her secret!
“Dionne grew up with them, and knew about it too,” added Dennis.

As RadarOnline previously reported, in the new documentary, “Whitney: Can I Be Me,” the tragic star’s friend claimed Whitney and Robyn shared a “forbidden love.”
“Robyn provided a safe place for her…in that Whitney found safety and solace,” said Whitney’s stylist Ellin Lavar.
The two reportedly split when Whitney’s started dating singer Bobby Brown – leading to her downward spiral as documented on an edition of, “National Enquirer Investigates.”
Brown also confirmed the rumored romance last year, and said he wished Robyn had remained in Whitney’s life to keep her out of trouble.
The two gal-pals met as teenagers in 1979 in their hometown of East Orange, New Jersey.
Robyn assumed the role of Whitney’s personal assistant in the mid-1980’s when her career exploded.
