WHISPERS OF DOOM SURROUND THE TALK

The Talk

"The Talk" is going down the tubes, and insiders say show execs are having a tough time finding replacements for departing co-hosts LEAH REMINI and HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE — because no stars want the job!

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Leah and Holly will NOT be returning for repeat performances as the afternoon gabfest heads into its second season, and SHARON OSBOURNE has asked to “take a little break” from the show — reportedly because all three women were fed up with cohost JULIE CHEN’s controlling ways.

And while CBS brass has approached big-name celebrities such as KIRSTIE ALLEY, KELLY PRESTON, EVA LONGORIA and BROOKE SHIELDS to take a spot on "The Talk" couch, not a single one is interested in the gig, divulged an insider.

“You’d think that actresses in Hollywood would be lining up for such a cushy little number on a network show,” continued the insider, “but several well-known women have turned their backs on 'The Talk.'"

One person who ISN’T turning her back on the show, however, is reality star KRIS JENNER — mom to the wildly successful Kardashian sisters.

Kris has signed on as Sharon’s temporary replacement — but she’s angling for a full-time spot, said the insider.

“Kris has made it perfectly clear that she wants to replace Sharon if she doesn’t return — and she has no problem being a permanent replacement for either Holly or Leah,” noted the source. “Kris thrives on hard work, and she’s not going to let this opportunity slip by.”
