WAYNE NO ‘DANKE SCHOEN’

description

Even though he’s facing a devastating financial crisis, legendary performer Wayne Newton canceled his concerts and risks losing his beloved Las Vegas ranch to be at his gravely ill daughter’s bedside.

The entertainer, 67, was in St. Louis on Feb. 25 with his adopted daughter Erin as she lay near death in a coma.

At the same time, sheriff’s deputies and moving vans were at his Las Vegas ranch, Casa de Shenandoah, trying to collect a $500,000 court judgment.

Guards at Wayne’s house refused to accept service of court documents, so authorities were forced to leave empty-handed.

"Erin means everything to Wayne," a source close to the family told The ENQUIRER.

A few weeks ago, Erin, 33, was in the third trimester of pregnancy when she suffered liver, kidney and respiratory failure. Doctors were able to deliver her son via Caesarean section, but Erin fell into a coma.

Initially, it didn’t look like Erin was going to pull through. Wayne canceled many of his February appearances at the Tropicana – missing all but two or three shows to fly to and from St. Louis, where she lives.

"Erin’s plight is much more important to Wayne than any money problems," said another insider.

Choking back tears, he told a pal: "I would give my own life in a second if God would spare Erin.

Wayne’s prayers were answered when Erin awoke from her coma. But his financial troubles continue to mount.

"Wayne’s gone from being the highest-paid entertainer in the world to being broke," a longtime friend told The ENQUIRER. "He owes money everywhere in Las Vegas and beyond.

"He trusted people who robbed him blind – and he spent money like there was no tomorrow.’
