Pals fear DONNY OSMOND may never sing again after the beloved performer developed a bleeding lesion on his right vocal cord that could develop into cancer!
Doctors recently found the hemorrhagic polyp, and the 57-year-old will soon undergo emergency surgery.
Donny’s expected to be treated by Harvard Medical School’s Dr. Steven M. Zeitels, who’s performed the same procedure on singers John Mayer, Adele, Sam Smith and Lionel Richie.
“Donny’s problems may be much worse than he’s letting on,” said a close source.
“He won’t be considered cancer-free until a biopsy is done on the polyp after it’s removed.
“Until then, he and his family are going to be worried sick that he may have throat cancer.”
Donny’s battled previous problems with his vocal cords. In 2012, vocal fatigue forced him to skip several performances with sister Marie of their show at the Flamingo Las Vegas.
