The sordid divorce trial of supermodel Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook came to abrupt end as lawyers reached a settlement giving Christie custody of their two kids.
A settlement appeared imminent yesterday after both combatants were spotted wearing peace symbols.
Lawyers for both sides burned the midnight oil on a legal all-nighter that resolved the conflict between Christie and Cook.
According to the deal, Christie gives Cook $21 mill but will keep 18 disputed properties located in the Hamptons.
Cook gets parenting time with kids Sailor Lee and Jack while Christie has custody. Despite a prenup, custody of their two children was the crux of the spousal battle.
"It’s to me a very bittersweet moment because it really is the death of a marriage," Brinkley stated after the court announced settlement.
The super-mom then displayed an elaborate dinosaur diorama she had helped make for a science class for her son. The prehistoric prop was used as evidence at the trial.
"I’m very pleased with the results today," she said.
"It’s everything I asked for," ex-hubby Cook agreed.
The rest of the agreement was sealed confidential.
