The MTV Movie Awards were awash in blood for Twilight as the vamp hag flick trounced all comers.
The vampiric saga of Edward Cullen and Bella took 5 golden popcorn trophies including Best Picture, Best fight, best kiss and breakout male performance for Robert Pattinson and best female performance for Kristin Stewart.
Other winners included HSM3 stars Zac Efron for male perf and Ashley Tisdale for breakthrough female. Miley Cyrus nabbed took best song "The Climb’ from Hanna Montana: The Movie.
The WTF award went to Amy Poehler relieving herself in a sink from Baby Mama.
The late Heath Ledger nabbed another post-humous trinket for daughter Matilda‘s shelf for Best Villain in The Dark Knight while Jim Carrey took Best Comedic perf for Yes Man. Ben Stiller got the MTV Generation Award, the fan award show’s highest accolade. CLICK FOR PIX
For many, the highlight, despite the antics of Sacha Baron Cohen in character as Bruno vexing Eminem, was the world preem of the Twilight sequel New Moon trailer in which a ripped Taylor Lautner turns into a craptastic CGI werewolf.
