Federal prosecutors allege TV pastor bilked believers for $3 million.

The Rev. Samuel Solansky who produced and appeared on a cable show Vandana is alleged to have defrauded converts and investors in a "nonexistent jewelry business".

Federal prosecutors charge Solanky ran the scamt via web site and fake corporations  "Gems of the Bible," "Blessings and Love Productions," "South Asian Gospel Broadcasting," and "India at Our Doorsteps."

According to the indictment, the self-righteous rev claimed he had bought jewels in India for resale in the States.

"Victims wired the money directly into bank accounts controlled by Solanky," the indictment states.

Rev. Solanky, 62, faces up to 20 years behind bars if convicted. No comment yet from The Big Guy Upstairs.
