As he gears up to run for president, billionaire star of "The Celebrity Apprentice" DONALD TRUMP has never been more outspoken – or controversial! Now, Trump says if he were President, despite America’s spiking gasoline costs, he would not tap into the country’s strategic oil reserves.
And boy is he mad at OPEC!
Yesterday in a Chicago appearance on WLS radio The Roe Conn Show with Richard Roeper Trump criticized the White House for looking at the country’s oil reserves as a solution for skyrocketing gas prices.
"I would not do that. I think it’s terrible. That’s supposed to be in case of dire emergency," Trump said.
Trump also berated oil-rich Middle Eastern countries for not lowering oil prices despite protection the United States provides in the region.
"You know we have troops in Saudi Arabia. With all of that money that they make where guys fly around on their 747’s. They don’t pay us. They pay us nothing. We protect them. They pay us nothing. They would change their tune, and I mean fast," Trump said.
In Part One of an Exclusive Interview with the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, Trump lit into the oil producing overlords further:
"They’re worse than China. They wouldn’t be there except for us. Twelve men sit around the table. They set the price of fuel. They set the price of fuel. They set the price of $3.50 for your car right now, a gallon. Guess what? That’s gonna be $5, $6 and $7 very soon. Of course, there’s nobody here that calls them and says, fellas, you better not do it."
Why I turned down LINDSAY LOHAN:
"Lindsay wanted to be on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ and we couldn’t take her because of her difficulties. I wanted to take her. She’s great. But we just couldn’t do it. I just want to see her get straightened out. I know her and she’s a really nice kid, but she has problems."
WHY Obama should have sent troops to LIBYA:
"It should have been done. (President Obama) could have saved a lot of lives if this were done. (Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi) could have been surgically taken out. We have all those soldiers, all those ships over there, and you have this madman shooting people down in the streets."

"Charlie is from a different planet, but he’s a friend of mine. He needs help, there’s no question about it, but I’ve seen worse. I would love to have Charlie on ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’ There’s tremendous interest in him. He’s different from anybody I know. But he’s at that line right now and I hope he doesn’t cross it. He needs to relax."
NO! to GAY MARRIAGE:
"New York is a place with lots of gays, and I think it is great. But I’m not in favor of gay marriage. They should not be able to marry. I’m a very conservative Republican."
ON THE NEW SEASON OF "CELEBRITY APPRENTICE":
"There are fights on this show the likes of which I’ve never seen before — whether it’s Jose Canesco or Richard Hatch going at it or Star Jones and NeNe (Leakes). It’s just unbelievable! It is, without question, the most volatile group we’ve ever had.
"They’re an amazing group of people and I think it will be amazing television. I think the women are very volatile but the men have some moments. We actually had to call the New York City Police!"
Not surprisingly, a new survey shows that the real estate tycoon’s political popularity is rising even higher. The Donald had the highest positive rating of any Republican in a recent NBC News/"Wall Street Journal" survey.
