FRIENDS and family are urging TORI SPELLING to ditch her husband who has been accused of cheating, but a source says the money-hungry star wants to stay married for the sake of her new reality TV show!
That’s the shocking secret behind Tori’s latest drama, as her hubby Dean McDermott stands accused of two-timing her with a Canadian beauty.
“Tori’s brother Randy, who’s a life coach, and friends have told her to dump Dean, but she won’t listen,” a close source told The ENQUIRER.
“She’s so determined to find success again as a reality TV star that she’ll do anything to stay with Dean. It’s sick, but Tori wants Dean with her for TV ratings!”
The couple have filmed eight episodes of the HGTV series, “Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever,” which is due to debut in the spring.
They have previously starred in one season of “Tori & Dean: Inn Love” before the show was renamed “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,” and ran from 2007 to 2012 on Oxygen. They’ve also appeared in eight episodes of “Tori & Dean: Storibook Weddings” in 2011.
Now, sources say Tori desperately wants the new series to succeed because she needs the money.
The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star announced in October that she’s flat broke, claiming her estranged mother Candy inherited her Hollywood mogul father Aaron Spelling’s $500 million fortune, while she got only $800,000.
Then, shortly before Christmas, Tori’s seven-year marriage exploded when Emily Goodhand, 28, claimed in a published report that she had a two-day fling with Dean, 47.
The two allegedly met on Dec. 6 while Dean was promoting his TV cooking show “Chopped Canada” and spent two nights together in Dean’s Toronto hotel room.
Tori and Dean met in 2005 while filming the Lifetime movie, “Mind Over Murder.” They eventually divorced their spouses to wed in real life and now have four children – Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 16 months.
“Tori has always said she and Dean were soul mates, and in spite of cheating on their previous spouses, their marriage was meant to be,” the insider noted.
“But now Tori is ignoring all the signs that their marriage is in trouble.”
As the cheating scandal heated up, Tori posted a Christmas Day message on social media, saying she was with Dean and the children.
“We’re spending the day together – cuddling, cooking, baking, unwrapping gifts, eating, watching movies and counting our blessings,” she wrote.
The source added: “Tori is trying to keep a smile on her face in public, but she’s right to worry about Dean cheating.
“This isn’t the first time he’s been accused of sleeping with other women, and it probably won’t be the last. But Tori would rather be a reality TV star with her husband and kids at her side than face the truth. She’s living a twisted fantasy.”
