Did someone just wake up?  The Dance Moms ep titled “Topless Showgirls” will NOT be aired…again.

Already skirting on the bad taste thin ice of child pornography, a Lifetime rep told The Hollywood Reporter that the ep of “Dance Moms”  titled “Topless Showgirls” (and later changed to “Costume Drama”) will not air on the network again nor be made available for viewing online or streaming on iTunes or Amazon

The controversial ep originally aired March 6.

“Topless Showgirls,” depicted dance teacher Abby Lee Miller’s bizarre desire to have her dance troupe of eight to 13-year-olds perform a classic fan dance ala Sally Rand.

Despite some disapproval from the moms (and the kids to the skimpy costumes, the dance went on with the girls wearing flesh-colored costumes for the performance.

Throughout the perf, judges, moms and aud more than squirmed.

While Lifetime would like to forget it ever happened, the net sent a press release out touting stellar ratings.

According to the presser, the salacious ep snared the series highest ratings  all demos with a total viewership of 2.7 million.

Dance Moms is now in its second season with a Miami spinoff planned and a figure skating version in the works called Ice Moms.

This is not to be confused with “Toddlers and Tiaras” which has JonBenet Ramsey types competing for pre-pubescent pageant gold.
