REALITY TV star Kate Gosselin has shed her embattled mom-of-eight look for a softer image – and experts tell The National ENQUIRER they think she did it with some help from the surgeon’s knife.

After analyzing photos of the 39-year-old, leading cosmetic surgeons believe she’s had a succession of treatments in recent months to make herself a hottie by smoothing her skin and erasing her wrinkles.

“I think her face looks tighter and that she’s had a facelift,” said Dr. Steve Fallek, a New Jersey–based plastic surgeon featured in top beauty magazines, who has not treated Kate.

“Injectables alone would not create that smooth and contoured jaw line and chin. It appears that her skin has been lifted along the sides of her face very skillfully without creating an overly pulled look. It’s an excellent facelift!”

Kate – former star of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and then “Kate Plus 8” after divorcing hubby Jon, 37 – competed on the already-filmed upcoming season 14 of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” While she was quickly booted off the show, sources say Kate hoped the series would soften her image as a tough, controlling mom. According to experts, it looks like she opted for cosmetic procedures to achieve a mature yet feminine appearance.

“Kate’s skin looks flawless, most likely due to a combination of skin treatments with lasers or chemical peels,” said celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn, of Troy, Mich., who has not treated Kate.

“I suspect she had Botox injected into her forehead to smooth frown lines, and a filler called Juvederm injected into her nasolabial folds, which are the lines running from her nose to the corners of her mouth.

“She may also have had conservative injections of Voluma
to plump and soften her cheeks. She looks like a young Jessica Simpson!”

Dr. Matthew Schulman, a plastic surgeon from New York who has not treated the TV star, believes she’s resorted to a series of injectables. “Kate’s face looks slimmer and better shaped,” he told The ENQUIRER.

“She likely had Botox treatments to her forehead and around her eyes to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. That would explain the smoother forehead and elevated eyebrows.”

Kate’s smile lines and the areas around her cheekbones also appear to have been injected with some type of filler, he said.

“This accentuates her normal bone structure and provides a better overall shape to her face,” added Dr. Schulman, who warns that Kate – who’s been signed for more episodes of “Kate Plus 8” to begin airing on TLC in December after a two-part special attracted more than two million viewers in June –may need more work done in the future.

“Kate seems to have naturally full upper eyelids and low-set eyebrows,” he said. “As she ages, Botox may not be enough to keep her eyes looking refreshed. Kate may opt for an upper eyelid surgery to remove the fat and excess skin, as well as a surgical eyebrow lift to restore her youthful looks.

“However, Kate should proceed with caution. All too commonly, especially in the celebrity world, people go overboard with cosmetic surgery. Right now her work has been very tastefully done.”
