Dallas Cowboy and on-again-off again Jessica Simpson beau, Tony Romo, wants to keep it going with Jess sans parental meddling.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Tony has told Papa Joe Simpson not to interfere with his relationship with Jessica.
Papa Joe, who already has a rep for being a busybody and shotgun wielding stage daddy dearest, is persona-non-grata with Tony who said his erratic coupledom with Jess is a "trial thing".
Reportedly, Jessica was part of Papa Joe’s big bucks wrangling with People for exclusive coverage of daughter Ashlee‘s nups.
They needed Jessica to put on the cover because according to sources, Jessica sells, Ashlee doesn’t.
Jessica needed a date — Tony.
Papa Joe must have backtracked because over the weekend, Romo and his Juliette canoodled at a Dallas eatery with nary a shotgun toting buttinski in sight.
