Katie Holmes is terrified Tom Cruise is going to wreck her career — and her fears are threatening to shatter their relationship, say sources.
After Paramount Pictures bounced Cruise in one of Hollywood’s most embarrassing firings, Katie is worried her involvement with the impulsive actor is a knife at her own professional throat, according to insiders.
“Tom’s public humiliation made Katie realize that his wacky stunts and kooky beliefs could be damaging her career as well as his own,” a Hollywood insider told The ENQUIRER.
A polling service that measures the popularity of stars shows that Tom’s rating has plummeted in the last year. His bizarre appearance on Oprah Winfrey‘s show — in which he jumped up and down on her couch — and public jousting with Matt Lauer and Brooke Shields cost him dearly.
“It’s gotten so bad that Katie’s apprehensive over what Tom will do or say next,” confided the insider.
