TOMKAT: WASHINGTON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

description

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent Memorial Day in Washington, D.C. teaching Suri her first history lesson.

The Cruise family, including Tom’s older son Connor, visited the U.S. Capitol, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

On Monday, Katie did a reading at the 20th annual PBS Memorial Day Concert, which paid tribute to the sacrifices of veterans.

The robo-wife actually showed emotion as she and her All My Sons Broadway costar Dianne Wiest told the story of Staff Sargent Jose Pequeno, a soldier injured in Iraq.

Katie also joined other performers at the event, including Katharine McPhee and country star Trace Adkins, in closing the show with a rendition of “This is My Country.”
