Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tragic health crisis!
TomKat flew to the bedside of Katie’s beloved grandmother Jackie Craft, 84,who had a leg amputated after undergoing surgery for colon cancer and was recuperating at Toledo’s Flower Hospital.
"Katie was in the middle of starring in the Broadway play All My Sons, but she and Tom made an early morning visit to her grandmother in Ohio to show their love and support," an insider told the ENQUIRER.
"Katie and Jackie are very close, and her showing up out of the blue did wonders for her grandmother’s spirits."
Craft had been at home recovering from the cancer operation when the lower of half of her right leg went totally numb. Fifteen years earlier, she’d broken her femur in a fall and had rods and pins inserted in the leg.
Being bed-ridden after the cancer surgery interfered with circulation in her leg and docs decided to amputate.
"Katie had been checking on her grandmother regularly, and when she finished the play one night in late October, Tom arranged for a private jet flight and they surprised Jackie in her hospital room," the insider divulged.
"Jackie was beyond thrilled!"
