Tom Cruise is solid gold at the box office, but the superstar reveals he’s stunned he’s still in the business.
“Yes, it amazes me that I’m still around after all these years,” confessed the “Minority Report” hero.
“I would’ve been happy if you had just told me after ‘Top Gun’ that I would still be working on my 40th birthday.”
The box-office king is not impressed with his climb to the top.”It’s not a world championship where I’ve won the title.
“Some people may give me the title, but I don’t feel like I have the title,” Cruise told a reporter.
“I do feel very fortunate, though, and I feel I have tremendous opportunities, but I don’t have any ego sessions in front of the mirror where I shout ‘I’m No. 1!’ “
