AS The ENQUIRER FIRST revealed the squabbling OBAMAS are buying a “safe house” for their post-divorce “DMZ” and now real estate sources are confirming it.
The Los Angeles Times has confirmed our blockbuster exclusive, citing area real estate agents, who spoke on condition of anonymity, who said the Obamas are indeed the buyers of the palatial Rancho Mirage home.
While the listing agents of HOM Sotheby’s International declined to comment and The White House had previously denied it, The ENQUIRER is once again right on target!
In our story posted online June 26, 2014 we detailed how the President had spent a lonely Father’ Day in an ultimate display of their hostility, but had located a house where the family could get together with their two daughters in the wake of their impending divorce.
The 5-bedroom 8,000 square foor Rancho Mirage getaway is well suited for the Obamas to live while keeping up a pretense of harmony.
The custom-built main house, constructed in 1993 and designed for entertaining, includes a gym, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. A 2,000-square-foot casita has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
“Neither the President nor Michelle will feel they’re invading each other’s turf,” a close source said.
Palm Springs realtor Jackie Storm noted that the gated property offers tons of privacy for the family. AND plenty of room for all those pesky Secret Service agents!
And, for Barack, it has a very special attraction – a tunnel to the golf course!
