TOLD YA SO! COPS DUMP JOHN TRAVOLTA EXTORT CASE

As The ENQUIRER FIRST reported exclusively Bahamas cops have dropped the extortion charges against the JOHN TRAVOLTA blackmailers.
Yesterday at the actor's behest, a judge in the Bahamas dismissed charges against the two suspects in the alleged blackmail plot over the death of Travolta's son Jett.
The Enquirer reported previously that Travolta wanted the charges dropped because of wife Kelly Preston's pregnancy, fearing the stress of a long trial would be too stressful for the couple.
Ambulance driver Tarino Lighbourne and former Sen. Plesant Bridgewater had been accused of threatening to release secret information about the sudden death of their autistic son Jett, 16, January 2009.
"The Travolta family has said that this matter has caused them unbelievable stress and pain and they wish to put this whole thing behind them," prosecutor Neil Braithwaite told the court after a jury had already been selected to try the case.
A judge had declared a mistrial in October 2009 based on suspected of jury tampering as the jurors acquitted one person while the others were still deadlocked in deliberations.
"The long-pending status of this matter continued to take a heavy emotional toll on my family, causing us to conclude that it was finally time to put this matter behind us," Travolta said in a written statement. "Therefore, after much reflection I concluded that it was in my family's best interest for me not to voluntarily return to The Bahamas to testify a second time at trial."
