TOBY KEITH gives woman MORE than a thrill of a lifetime!

THE lights were low and emotions were high as bighearted Toby Keith gave the thrill of a lifetime to a Houston woman – inviting her onstage to join him in singing his patriotic anthem “American Soldier.”

But that was nothing compared to the surprise she had coming when her husband, Maj. Pete Cruz – a soldier whom she thought to be currently stationed in Afghanistan – suddenly stepped out from backstage to hand Keith his red, white and blue guitar.

Wearing military fatigues, Maj. Cruz swept his teary-eyed wife into his arms for a “welcome home” kiss, and the thrilled couple joined Keith in performing “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” moving many in the audience to tears.

And it was all a spur of the moment idea. Keith, 51, had no inkling what was going to happen when he showed up for the Houston concert.

“It was all spontaneous,” a source told The ENQUIRER. “During a meet-and-greet before the concert, a friend of the woman told the crew about her and that her husband had come home early and was hoping to surprise her.

“When Toby heard about it, he thought it would be a great idea to have the surprise reunion take place on stage in front of the whole audience.”

During the concert, the country superstar asked the audience if there was anyone there with a relative serving overseas. The woman’s friends excitedly pointed to her, and Toby said: “Come on, sis,” and invited her on stage.

A video taken of the happy reunion has gone viral on the Internet, showing the loving couple throwing their arms around each other and kissing as Toby sang.

“I love our nation’s troops,” declared the patriotic country great, “and I won’t ever stop doing my part to extend my thanks.”
