TMZ RETRACTS JANET JACKSON STORY

NationalEnquirer.com

After cramming a JANET JACKSON- PARIS JACKSON shoving match down everyone’s throats for over a week TMZ finally admitted they got it ALL wrong.

While TMZ is quick to criticize rivals like the NATIONAL ENQUIRER and The Star, they never issue a retraction – until – that is yesterday.

Here’s how it ALL went down – TMZ rolled out a story last week proclaiming Janet Jackson physically attacked her niece Paris, grabbing for her cell phone  and calling her a “spoiled bitch”. Surveillance video obtained from the house and run by numerous outlets showed no physical attack but TMZ stuck to its version of events.

This yarn was regurgitated by many media outlets.

But one TV show reported that TMZ then got a scorching legal letter – not the typical cover-our-image type often sent by celebrities who simply don’t like certain articles.

That’s when TMZ surrendered and posted a retraction on their home page yesterday – a post that stayed in the top stop for hours.

“Although we believed the story to be true when we published it, we have now determined it was not correct … Janet did not slap or otherwise touch Paris, nor did she verbally abuse her,” their web site stated.

Oh, and btw, Paris denied the story one day after it was posted so what took TMZ so long?

Once again, if you want news that is actually investigated by real reporters stick with The ENQUIRER – we’ve been doing it for 50 years.

Just ask John Edwards.
