TELEVANGELIST ROBERT SCHULLER, CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL FOUNDER DEAD

Robert Schuller Dead

Legendary televangelist ROBERT SCHULLER who founded the Crystal Cathedral has died at age 88, The National ENQUIRER has learned.

Schuller who hosted the decades-popular TV/radio show “Hour of Power” was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2013.

He also built the celeb-friendly Crystal Cathedral, a massive glass structure, rising high into the skies of Los Angeles. Famed architect Phillip Johnson designed the structure.

His preaching usually emphasized the positive aspects of the Christian faith.

Schuller stopped taking chemo or radiation treatments after his wife, Arvella Schuller, passed in February 2014.

As The ENQUIRER reported previously Schuller and his wife resigned from the board of Crystal Cathedral Ministries in March 2012 after the ministry filed for bankruptcy, citing debts of $43 million.

Donna Schuller, Robert’s daughter-in-law said that the idea of Robert Schuller’s passing just prior to Easter would be a fitting exit.

“He always did everything in a grand fashion,” she told the Orange County Register. “It’s just like him.”
