Taylor Swift reveals to fans that her mother is suffering from cancer.
Taylor, 25, posted the news on her Tumbler blog but did not reveal what type of cancer her mother Andrea is suffering from.
Her rep confirmed the diagnosis to media.
Taylor wanted to keep the details private, but said her mother implored her to go public because her fans needed to know.
She wrote that Taylor asked her mom to get a check-up as a Christmas gift and while no “there were no red flags” detected they later learned Andrea had “The Big C”.
Andre is a favorite among “The Swifties” fan base — often garnering cheers and posing for pix with fans.
