Goldie Hawn’s fangirling for Derek Hough – and sources said she’s pushing daughter Kate Hudson to spend more time with the “Dancing with the Stars” pro!
Kate, 35, was spotted making out with Derek, 29, at an L.A. restaurant on Dec. 5 before announcing that she’d split from fiancé Matt Bellamy. “Goldie’s never been crazy about Matt. She always thought he was a bit of a cold fish,” a source close to the actress told The National ENQUIRER. “But Goldie adores Derek, and she’s always urging Kate to see more of him.
“She really hopes they’ll get more serious about each other, and she’s constantly dropping hints about it to Kate!”
While Kate and Matt were together at Goldie’s Love In For Kids charity event on Nov. 21, Derek was at the same event – and Goldie later tweeted a photo of her in Derek’s arms on the dance floor. And in October, she posted a note about an article in which Derek talked about his past and being bullied!
“Goldie is such a big fan of Derek’s,” said the source. She doesn’t even care that the dancer was recently photographed hugging a young mystery brunette!
Meanwhile, “she was actually glad Matt came to Colorado for Christmas, at least for the sake of their little boy,” added the source. Matt, 36, and Kate’s son Bingham, 3, spent the holidays with Kate in Aspen.
While a rep for Kate said she and Matt remain “committed co-parents,” the source added: “Goldie’s hoping that Kate and Derek get even closer!”
