During filming, man mountain Stone Cold Steve Austin broke Sylvester Stallone’s neck in a fight scene gone horribly wrong!
Stallone, 63, who performed his own stunt work in new film The Expendables was left reeling in pain after a brawl with the wrestling superstar became so "vicious" Sly had to have corrective surgery in his neck.
"It was seven guys, kicking each other’s ass, one guy tougher than the next," the Rambo star told UK lad mag FHM.
" No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy.
"My fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I’m not joking.
"I haven’t told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards," Sly divulged.
"I now have a metal plate in my neck."
Stallone’s new flick also stars fellow movie tough guys Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and Crank‘s Jason Statham who team up to take down a dictator.
We’re betting old metal-neck Stallone’s gonna have to be very careful when going through airport security now.
