SPECIAL INVESTIGATION: THE TERRORISTS NEXT DOOR!

Homegrown “terror camps” are thriving on America soil, an investigation by The ENQUIRER has uncovered.

The spread of bloodthirsty terrorists has become a frightening reality, according to top law enforcement authorities, who have secretly warned that more than 20 suspicious camps have been established across the United States!

Now, in a world exclusive, The ENQUIRER reveals exactly where these communities are operating and demands an answer to the worrying question — why are they allowed to flourish in our backyards, just 13 years after from the 9/11 attacks?

The ENQUIRER has learned the enemy compounds are located coast-to-coast – from Oak Hill, Calif., to Springfield, Mass., and Houston, Texas – where radical jihadists are reportedly allowed to run free, coached on how to murder and trained in explosives, kidnapping and guerrilla warfare tactics.

It’s so alarming, the FBI probed the camps and found they’re linked to notorious Islamic cleric, Pakistani Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, and operate under his “Muslims of America” (MOA) organization. The group has ties with Al-Fuqra, a terrorist organization that has carried out fire bombings and murders in the U.S.

The intelligence agency’s “Threat Task Force” concluded the group possessed an “infrastructure capable of planning and mounting terrorist campaigns overseas and within the U.S,” according to a top secret report prepared in 2007 and obtained by The ENQUIRER.

What’s more, inside the villages, men and women are “encouraged to travel to Pakistan to receive religious and military/terrorist training” under Sheikh Gilani, the FBI warned.

Though MOA has publicly insisted it preaches “peace and unity,” in a “recruitment video” seen by The ENQUIRER evil spiritual leader Sheikh Gilani is caught on tape spewing American hatred.

“We are fighting to destroy the enemy,” said Gilani, who claims to be a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. “We are dealing with evil at its roots and its roots are America.”

Excerpts of that video show American converts to Islam being instructed in the operation of AK-47 rifles, rocket launchers and machine guns!

In a bid to understand if these camps are a terror stronghold in our own backyard or just misunderstood neighborhoods, as they’ve claimed, this publication sent a reporter to one compound in rural Deposit, N.Y., located just three hours outside of Manhattan.

But The ENQUIRER’s Douglas Montero was unable to infiltrate what he discovered was a heavily fortified facility — and a community shrouded in rumors, mystery and fear.

One wary local confessed that he was “leery” of what lies beyond the primitive dirt road and added that he rarely sees any of the camp’s residents. Another whispered how he’d heard gunshots emanating from that location.

“They should be monitored more closely,” Martin Mawyer, executive director of the Christian Action Network, who has an extensive history monitoring the groups, declared to The ENQUIRER.

The alarming findings of our investigation come in the aftermath of the U.S. bombings on the Islamic State in Syria and in the wake of a hatchet-wielding man’s terror attack on a group of New York City police officers in late October.

In this age of heightened risk, watchdog groups say they’re concerned these communities are actually sleeper cells consisting of Americans brainwashed to attack here.

“You have all the ingredients for a major disaster,” said Ryan Mauro, who runs the anti-extremism website Clarion Project, the organization that was first to obtain the FBI’s report.

“The leadership of the MOA extols membership to pursue a policy of jihad or holy war against individuals or groups its considers enemies of Islam, which includes the U.S. Government,” the FBI concluded in its document, providing a glimpse into their clandestine operations.

When questioned about what really goes on inside their camps, a Massachusetts attorney representing the organization, Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, declined to comment.

But the group has previously claimed it simply exists to “preserve a long-lasting relationship with our Christian brethren in the U.S.”

According to Mawyer, however, the spotlight his organization has thrown on MOA has forced it to curtail its “violent” activities.

But he warned they still pose a genuine threat: “They shifted their focus into raising funds that they could send back to Pakistan which is believed to help fund international terrorism.”er, the spotlight his organization has thrown on MOA has forced it to curtail its “violent” activities.

Despite that, he warned they still pose a genuine threat.
