ABC is getting into business with the popular TV host, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
The Alphabet Net OK-ed a pilot order for the sitcom The Smart One
The show, produced by Ellen and starring Portia, is about a brilliant and successful woman who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister — a former beauty queen, weather girl and now mayor of a big city.
We’ll keep you posted if the show actually gets picked up for next season.
Since Ellen has a second show in the works at ABC we'd say this one has a good shot.
