JOHN MELLENCAMP sang himself back into MEG RYAN'S good graces by agreeing to move to Manhattan and get married.
But the “Pink Houses” rocker better pick up the tempo if he wants to maintain their romantic harmony!
John, 63, and Meg, 53, began making music together in 2010, but split in August when John wouldn’t leave his longtime Indiana home.
“He finally agreed to move, but it’s been one thing after another since,” a friend said.
“When they look at apartments and Meg says one is ‘perfect,’ he finds something wrong with it!”
Added another pal: “Meg thinks John only wants marriage on his terms. He better get serious about moving to New York before he’s back in that ‘Small Town’ by himself!”
