The Lord of the Undead, Dracula star Christopher Lee has been knighted.
Lee, 87, the veteran thesp whose deep mellifluous voice and piercing eyes made him a film fave in films as Horror of Dracula, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings pix was made a knight of the British Empire.
ChristoFEAR (as horror fans dubbed him) shot to worldwide fame starring in Hammer Films Curse of Frankenstein, Horror of Dracula and was one of the hardest working "bad guys" in the biz.
Lee took time out from playing the undead count multiple times to nearly kill James Bond as villain Scaramanga in The Man With the Golden Gun.
Not content to play Brit baddies Lee also terrified auds as Rasputin, The Mad Monk – the Russian hypnotist who brought down the Czar of Russia and Fu Manchu!
