The “Great Gatsby” stud, 38, prefers his women to be years younger – just like 76-year-old “Wolf” man Jack.
“Leo likes to date girls much younger than he is – in part because Jack has always done it,” said a source close to the “Titanic” heartthrob.
“His last few girlfriends have all been in their early 20s.”
Leo’s latest squeeze, Victoria’s Secret model Toni Garrn, just turned 21, and leggy cover girl Gisele Bundchen – now Mrs. Tom Brady – was only 19 when she started dating DiCaprio in 2000.
The “Inception” star has also romanced supermodels Bar Refaeli, 28, and Erin Heatherton, 24.
Before hooking up with Toni, DiCaprio was spotted cavorting with a crowd of bikini-clad cuties on a yacht off the French Riviera.
“Leo loves to be surrounded by a gaggle of model types young enough to be his daughters,” added the source. “And that’s right out of Jack’s playbook.”
Nicholson was 36 when he hooked up with the love of his life, then-22- year-old Anjelica Huston.
Their 16-year romance ended when Huston learned that actress Rebecca Broussard, then in her mid-20s, was expecting Nicholson’s baby.
As The ENQUIRER has reported, the three-time Oscar winner still keeps a flock of gorgeous young actresses and model-types on speed-dial.
Meanwhile, DiCaprio has described working with Nicholson in the 2006 crime drama “The Departed” as a “highlight of his life,” added the source.
“Leo admires everything about Jack, and when he’s Jack’s age, he hopes to still be hitting on young chicks too!”
And the Hollywood skirt-chaser was 62 when he began seeing then 29-year-old “Twin Peaks” sexpot Lara Flynn Boyle in 1999. When asked to describe the appeal of younger women, Nicholson replied: “As I remember it – flesh. That’s basically what it’s about.”
