Simon Cowell revamps American Idol by adding a new judge!
"It’s going to be a different show this year and we’ll have to see if that’s a negative or an advantage," Cowell told the press.
Cowell admitted he became bored with Idol last season- like most viewers.
"I think that it could be more interesting and controversial than it was last year – you’re definitely going to see a change and I think it will be an improvement."
He also claimed the contestants were so media savvy, they never showed the true personalities.
"They were like robots."
While the producer/judge declined to elaborate, Cowell plans to incorporate elements that will cause Idol wanna-bes to experience "more jeopardy."
Including adding some much-vaunted "girl power" by adding singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi as a judge to keep Paula Abdul company.
