Latest on Rihanna‘s injuries and escape from LA — from Chris Brown!
After a horrific 911 call that had R&B singer Chris Brown surrender to LAPD pre-Grammys, reports surfaced and then were confirmed by multiple sources that the victim in Brown’s attack was his GF pop star Rihanna aka Robyn Rihanna Fenty (named in police reports as Robyn Fenty).
As witnesses reported hearing the pop beauty scream in pain at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, shocking new developments were leaked.
According to a police source, LAPD took pictures of the victim described as "horrific". There are major contusions on both sides of Rihanna’s face – lip split and her nose bloody – with serious swelling and ugly bruises on both left and right hand sides of the face.
Rihanna told police that Brown allegedly struck her with his fists!
While the battered thrush refused treatment at the hospital, the photos reveal "devastating proof of abuse."
Rihanna is said to be "cooperating" with the police investigation.
Rihanna then reportedly fled to the Barbados to be with family, canceling her scheduled concert in Kuala Lumpur Feb. 13 "in light of recent events involving Rihanna," her management company stated.
An insider divulged Rihanna’s family want "to keep her away from Chris right now."
Brown remains free on $50,000 bail, pending official charges from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office. Wrigley’s Chewing Gum has also suspended Brown’s Doublemint gum ad campaign.
Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton revealed detectives will present findings to prosecutors shortly, adding Brown received no special considerations because of fame.
"We dealt with him like we deal with everybody else," Bratton said.
