“Everybody Loves Raymond” star Ray Romano is definitely not in love with his huge house — and blames his wife for running wild with the plans.
“My wife built this huge house,” says the 45-year-old funnyman.
Ray wants everyone to know he doesn’t have an edifice complex. He insists his lovely spouse “was in charge of it, and when she needed money she would wake me up.
“It’s beautiful and everything, but I don’t need a big house like that,” he told an interviewer. “It’s crazy.
“There’s even a gift shop in it!” he quipped.
A high point of the house is a magnificent large fountain — but even that doesn’t make a splash with Ray.
“She put turtles in it and once a week someone has to come and feed them and service them — so we have a turtle guy!” said the shell-shocked performer.
“I told my wife Anna not to have an affair with this guy because you don’t want to tell your friends your wife left you for the turtle guy.”
