LATEST: Stepdad confirms report Charlie Sheen‘s wife Brooke Mueller entered rehab.
Despite recovering from a bout with pneumonia that landed her in the hospital, Brooke had allegedly entered treatment at a Two Dreams Outer Banks facility in North Carolina in an attempt to get sober, Entertainment Tonight reported earlier.
But her lawyer, Yale Galanter, said that the facility is a respite for people recovering from serious illness i.e. pneumonia not a booze-drug rehab center.
NOW Brooke Mueller’s stepfather Jon Fiore has confirmed exclusively to RadarOnline.com that she is in a treatment center, saying "she is recognizing that she needs help and she can’t do it on her own."
"She IS there," Fiore said. "But it’s a recovery place, and it is in a resort setting and the picture I’d like to paint more is that she’s seeking help she wants to, she’s dealing with this."
As The ENQUIRER reported previously both she and Charlie were boozing it up and using cocaine the night of their domestic dispute Xmas eve that landed Chas behind bars.
Brooke has already been through rehab for in the past as has Charlie.
Brooke reportedly took the train to the facility as she was advised not to fly due to some fluid still remaining in her lungs.
She may be in Aspen later this week to rescind the restraining order against Charlie.
