William Shatner admitted he's struggling to keep the pounds off because he's hooked on chowing down Italian food! Shatner blames a diner which opened last year near the horse stables he keeps with his wife.
The day begins healthy for Bill - with a bowl of fruit and a few laps around his pool - but by lunchtime he needs a fix and starts pounding down the pasta!
"Once the menu's in my hand, there's no stopping me," Shatner confessed to manga-mania. "I order everything on the menu!
"Sometimes I order two or three of everything on the menu, so we can try a little bit of each dish."
The Italian food fiend's culinary binges are putting a hole in his wallet because the generous star insists on treating his pals and horse trainers when they visit the saucy diner.
