Shanna Moakler resigns as pageant director after Carrie Prejean Trumps her to keep crown.
The former model actress had been spearheading the Miss California USA pageant but in the wake of yesterday’s press conference in New York, Shanna has had enough.
As THE ENQUIRER reported yesterday that at the conclusion of the Donald Trump press conference when Prejean hugged everyone; she and Moakler eyed each other warily unsure of what to do.
The day prior Moakler had slammed the controverso-cutie who spoke out against gay nups and claimed a breeze exposed her nips during a photo-shoot.
"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization," Moakler said in a statement.
"I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it."
