The prosecution pulled their trump card out on Day One of the R. Kelly child porno trial in Chicago.
They showed the VHS tape depicting the three-way sex orgy orchestrated by, whom the State claims is, Kelly.
Robert Kelly, 41, who has denied all 14 charges of child pornography, sat motionless watching the grainy tape.
The principal witness in the case who was 13 at the time of the videotape, now 23, denies she is the victim on the tape.
Kelly’s attorney, Sam Adam, alleged the girl on the tape was a hooker, adding ""The tape, at best, is a copy of a copy of a copy of the original."
The tape is so poor, Kelly’s attorneys argued, that even the FBI couldn’t identify Kelly due to its dubious quality.
Also at question is a significant mole on Kelly’s lower back which the man in the sex tape doesn’t have.
Adam told the jury, "Either Robert isn’t the man on the tape – or he is some kind of magician."
Kelly ,who had three top ten singles last year, grew up in public housing on the South Side of Chicago and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
